April 19, 2000

Dear Music Department Chair,

Earlier this spring I sent you information about the National Federation of Music Clubs Student Auditions. As mentioned in that letter, some of the Repertoire Requirements were being revised. Enclosed you will find two copies of the up-to-date Repertoire Requirements. I have included my name, address, e/mail address and FAX number on the Repertoire sections so that the teacher and/or student may contact me easily. PLEASE KEEP A COPY ON FILE IN YOUR OFFICE AND DISTRIBUTE THE OTHERS TO THE APPROPRIATE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS. YOU MAY MAKE COPIES OF ANY OF THE ENCLOSED MATERIALS.

The Monetary Award to each National Winner is $1,500. There are also a number of substantial supplemental awards shown on the enclosed sheet. The Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs awards a $200 award to each State Winner. Please make copies of the Student Auditions Biennial Awards sheet and post them so your students will know and ask about this opportunity.

The deadline for the applications to reach the State Chairman is November 1, 2000 because the applications must then be forwarded to the National Chairman to reach her by November 15, 2000. There is an entry fee of $30.00 which must accompany the Application Form.

The student must be a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs to enter the Student Auditions. The student may apply'dn the enclosed Student Auditions Application Form by enclosing the $15 membership fee, payable to the Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs. However, if your music department is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs (Enclosed is an Organization Application Form - Fees are listed on the back under **Student Association Organizations) any student or faculty member in your department is a member of KFMC and NFMC and eligible to enter any of our competitions.

Application forms should be sent to me by November 1, 2000 at:
