This competition is open to all music majors. The format will be similar to last year--you should play or sing a selection (or two) of between 5-8 minutes in length by an American composer. (If in doubt about the nationality of your composer, please see Dr. Crosby). A sign-up sheet will be posted in the front office in February. at which time the contestant will pick up an adjudication sheet to fill out and return by a specified deadline. These will be copied and distributed to the outside judges we will use to make the selection.

Last year's competition was a big success, and we look forward to a sizeable participation this year as well. Make your plans now so that you have plenty of time to work up your selection(s).
