Barry McCauley, former Alumnus of the year, died this month after a long illness. He was a tenor at the Metropolitan Opera for many years. They held a special service in his honor on October 15, 2001 at the Met.

Kerry Evans (East Bernstadt, KY), Kristi Howe (Crittenden, KY), Nora Kidwell (Lexington, KY), Matt Kurk (Mt. Washington, KY), Rebecca McCammon (Russellville, KY), Kelly Ramsey (Richmond, KY), Courtney Spragens (Finchville, KY), and Stephanie Stockburger (Richmond, KY) attended the week-long International Horn Society Symposium held at the Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan this past June. They performed in recital as members of the Central Kentucky Horn Club and attended masterclasses and concerts featuring some of the leading players in the world today.

Mark Flannery is the K-8 music teacher at Mary Queen School in Lexington.

Candy Flynn is the M.S. & H.S. Choral director for Berea Community Schools.

Letha Hembree is the M.S. Choral director in Rockcastle Co.

Tim Lang is the assistant band director in Estill County High School.

Bridgette Wortham is the middle school band director in Russell County.

Robb Duddey is an elementary music teacher in Covington, KY.

Lynn Riddle is an elementary music in Campbell County.
