COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  3. To make available and accessible, source material which will initiate an interest and desire for musical achievement and communication through music.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Ten percent missed lessons is the maximum allowable unexcused absences. For one hour credit, this means a maximum of two one-half hour lessons. For two or more hours credit, this means a maximum of two one-hour lessons. All unexcused absences beyond these totals shall be assigned the grade of F. It shall be the responsibility of the Professor to determine whether an absence is excused or unexcused.

MISSED LESSONS:

  1. If a student misses a lesson without notifying the Professor a reasonable time in advance (preferably 24 hours), the Professor is not obligated to make up the lesson.

  3. Professors who must miss lessons for good cause must notify students a reasonable time in advance, and will arrange for make-up lessons at times mutually practical for both the Professor and the student.
  4. Emergencies occasionally occur where it is impossible to give 24 hours notice. Please call as much in advance as possible if you are unable to attend your lesson, so that I know you are not just "blowing off" your lesson.
