SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Eastern Kentucky University Symphony Orchestra is open to all string performers and to selected woodwind, brass and percussion performers by audition. Previous orchestral experience is desirable. The group performs at least three concerts each academic year and in addition accompanies the choral groups for the annual Christmas concert. Members of the group often are called upon to provide accompaniments for opera and musical performances by the combined Music and Speech and Theatre Arts Departments. Two two-hour rehearsals are held weekly. One hour academic credit per semester. |
