Course Objectives:
To become familiar with percussion teaching, performance, and research.

Notebook, manuscript paper, drum sticks, practice pad.
1 pair of concert snare drum sticks May be purchased at any local music store

Grading:
You must first pay $5.00 for the use of an EKU practice pad. Please get receipt from Mrs. Howe.
Grading based on a 100 pt. system broken down as follows:
Attendance 20%
Playing Tests 30% - 2
Papers 20% - 2
Final 30%

ATTENDANCE AT THE PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE CONCERT WILL COUNT EQUAL TO ATTENDING A CLASS. IF YOU MISS OVER 3 CLASSES- YOUR SEMESTER GRADE WILL BE LOWERED BY ONE LETTER. ANYTHING OVER 5 ABSENCES WILL RESULT IN AN F
