Miss Stockburger graduated in May 2004 with a General Music degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She has been very active in the music department at EKU during her college career. Ensembles that she has participated in include Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band and Horn Ensemble. She has been principle horn in the EKU Symphonic band under the direction of Dr. Joseph Allison for two years and principle horn in the EKU Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Mark Chambers for one and a half years.

Miss Stockburger's private horn teachers have included Dr. Karin Sehmann (at the high school level) and Dr. Mick Sehmann (at the college level). Dr. Mick Sehmann is the second horn in the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra. Dr. Karin Sehmann is in charge of the music education program at EKU and Dr. Mick Sehmann is the french horn professor at EKU. They are a married couple who are both very devoted to music and to their students. The Sehmann's are wonderful people to study with and are very giving with their time and energy.
Miss Stockburger has performed in both a Junior French Horn Recital and a Solo Senior French Horn Recital.
Miss Stockburger has also particiated in the Eli Epstein Horn Camp at Brevard, located in North Carolina.
Miss Stockburger has also been a counselor at Stephen Collins Foster Music Camp.
Miss Stockburger has had experience teaching private french horn lessons. She has also had numerous gigs at local churches including the First Christian Church (in Richmond, KY) and St. Mark's Catholic Church (also in Richmond, KY). She is still available to teach private lessons and to play gigs. She is available to teach beginning and intermediate level horn players and beginning piano players. Miss Stockburger has been active in the International Music Fraternity for Women, Sigma Alpha Iota. She has been a member for four years. She has taken leadership positions within the fraternity. She was Corresponding Secretary for one year and President during the 2002-2003 school year.
Miss Stockburger is a member of the International Horn Society. She attended the International Horn Symposium in the summer of 2001 in Kalamazo, Michigan. She also plans on attending the Internatinal Horn Society Symposium in the summer of 2003 in Bloomington, Indiana.
Miss Stockburger has participated in multiple recording sessions with the EKU Symphonic Band.
