Starting out on violin in the fourth grade, Robert soon surpassed his fellow classmates. On a whim, he jokingly told the strings teacher in eighth grade that he played bass, and has played it ever since. When he was fourteen, Mr. King was given his first guitar by his grandmother. He taught himself how to use it and learned how to accompany on guitar. Using money he earned while working at his first job (McDonald's©), he bought his first bass guitar. Using this, he played for his church (ECOG) from when he was 15 until recently. After Robert had turned 16, his parents bought a baby grand piano-forte and learned a little bit of music on that instrument. Robert has also learned a little about the Harmonica from a member of one of the several bands that he has been in.
