Numerous flute sites pepper the cyber landscape. My goal was to wade through this heap of sites devoted to furthering flute knowledge and technique. The grading criteria spans from A-F, according to the quality of that particular site. Each site is graded according to content, navigability, load speed, and graphics. The website I found most helpful was www.flute.com - it had everything you could imagine. It may not have been the best looking site, but content is more important than graphics. It had recordings, a place for users to list their services, flutes to purchase, flute music, and more. The worst site, in my opinion, was flutesonline.com What a a surprise, a page which so many people had recommended and praised really turned out to be a dud. It mainly functioned as a Jeane Baxtresser link.

National Flute Association Online www.nfaonline.org	A The National Flute Association website has a nice setup and is basically for members of the NFA but does offer some information such as clubs, meetings, camps and conventions.
www.flutesonline.com	F I think this site is terrible, basically they have a setup and no good information at all. The only good thing I could find was the Jeanne Baxtresser site.
www.justflutes.com	B This website offers several different options, you can look at different flutes, music. Basically the same as some other websites that have been out there a while.
www.flute.com	A+ I think this is one of the best sites out there for flautist and teachers because it lets you shop, listen to recordings, there are teaching techniques, listen to various flautists, organizations, basically anything you could need.
