Dawn was Born and raised in Louisville, Ky. She attended Seneca High School. After high school Dawn moved onto college to accomplish her dreams of music. She attended the University of Kentucky, for two years. however it was Eastern Kentucky University that she found her home. Dawn is in the process of finishing up an Bachelor of Music Education, only to continue to recieve her masters degree in teaching. With this she plans to teach muisc on the High School Level. Hoping to share her love of music with many others.
Dawn has played trumpet for 13 years. While in college she has learned to play all brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. She also attened the Morehead Band Clinic in 1998 and 1999. While always participating in KMEA solo and ensmebles she also playe in the All-County Band in 1998. Dawn has a passion for marching as well. She has been in marching band for nine years (4 high school, 5 college) and drum and bugle corps.
Dawn is not only a performer her love is in teaching. She has taught private lessons and summer band camps for the past five years at Seneca High School; teaching and writting ,music, drill and visual.
