Justin Wilson has actively pursued the art of playing trombone for 10 years. Mr. Wilson is concluding his studies at Eastern Kentucky University in trombone performance with Mr. Ken Haddix. He holds the principal trombone position in the EKU Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Mark Chambers and the EKU Symphonic Band conducted by Dr. Joseph Allison. He has extensive performance experience with the orchestra, band, jazz ensemble and as a soloist. Mr. Wilson also has significant recording session experience with these ensembles. His orchestra performance experience includes: Night on Bald Mountain, Jupiter (from The Planets), Beethoven's 5th Symphony, Sheherazade, William Tell Overture, 1812 Overture, Barber of Seville and Hungarian March. In 2003 Mr. Wilson was a featured soloist with the EKU Orchestra performing the 1st movement of the Gordon Jacob Concerto for Trombone & Orchestra. He also serves as a substitute for the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Wilson has only recently discovered the joy of composing. He is finishing a degree in Music Theory & Compostion at Eastern Kentucky University under the guidance of Dr. Alan Beeler. Mr. Wilson will pursue a Ph.D in Composition and aspires to teach at the Universtity level later in life. He has composed for a variety of instruments and ensembles including: Piano, Trombone, Solo Voice, Brass Quintet, String Quartet, String Orchestra, SATB Choir and Orchestra.
